TAL Apparel Limited Speeds up Migration to Cloud

Seamlessly Migrating Traditional ERP to Cloud Greatly Enhances System Performance and Production Operation to Exploit Business Opportunities in Digital Era.

Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that TAL Apparel Limited, a provider of innovative products and services across different stages of the fashion supply chain, has finished the first phase of migrating its legacy ERP to Infor Cloudsuite™ Fashion to achieve significant cost reductions and operational efficiencies.

TAL began migrating its ERP system from Infor M3 to Infor CloudSuite in April 2016. The Infor and TAL team worked together on an approach to migrate all 1,500 users in six countries over to the new system within a three-day downtime window to minimize business disruption. They achieved a 50% reduction in heavy batch jobs, such as MRP and monthly end closing jobs.

“The Infor team understands our industry very well. The Infor M3 consultants working for us are all very experienced, with many years of M3 and fashion industry experience,” said Dr. Delman Lee, President and CTO for TAL Apparel Limited.  “All of this has helped us improve system efficiency, greatly enhancing our manufacturing operational capability in the digital era.”

After migrating to Infor CloudSuite Fashion, the TAL ERP system will be upgraded seamlessly by Infor, enjoying the latest features including extensibility, scalability, performance, security and continuous innovation.

The fashion industry is faced with severe challenges in terms of the pace of product innovation, digital transformation and omni channel. In an era of big data and cloud computing, the key factor in achieving a successful business is finding ways to leverage innovative industry-specific ERP solutions to meet fast-changing needs and to be more profitable.

Compared with traditional deployments, cloud-based solutions can help reduce one-time hardware and software investment so that enterprises can put more emphasis on business innovation. The flexibility that cloud brings can enable better support for business innovation and customized production.

“Going to cloud has already become a trend for enterprises. The major value that cloud brings is fast and resilient on-line expansion of business as well as improving the cost structure of the enterprise. We are very happy that TAL Apparel is beginning to migrate to Infor Cloudsuite ™ Fashion, and has achieved significant improvements in operational performance, and are willing to support more industry companies in Asia to migrate to cloud,” said Graham McColough, Vice President, Managing Director, North Asia, Infor.

According to Dr. Lee, TAL Apparel are currently working with Infor to implement the Infor Workforce Management solution.

Chausport Reorganizes its Information System around Infor CloudSuite Fashion

Sporting Goods Retailer, part of the JD Sport PLC group, opts for Infor CloudSuite Fashion (M3) to Manage within a Single, Centralised Solution, its Information System.

Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that Chausport, supported by HereWeGo Consulting, has chosen Infor CloudSuite Fashion (based on Infor M3). After a tender procedure that brought together several solution providers, the Infor solution was chosen for its ability to integrate all the functions of the distributor’s information system: from purchases to inventory management and logistics to the management of its stores’ supplies. The solution will also cover the delivery of products bought by the customers through Ecommerce.

Dominique Dambre, Project Sponsor at Chausport, said: “We aim to move from being a multi-channel player to an omni-channel distributor, which requires us to opt for a single management platform with a centralized database. Among the solutions we evaluated, Infor was able to demonstrate to us that the Infor CloudSuite Fashion solution is able to cover all the essential functions from back and front office, and to integrate them while taking into account of our specialities.”

In addition, the project included an initial demand: to be able to rely both on a vendor and an integrator, and the quality of the Helant team – an Infor partner in France –  convinced Chausport that this combination will accompany the project each step of the way and develop value around the predefined features and services.

Dambre continued: “We were also convinced by the design of Infor CloudSuite Fashion’s user interface, which was critical for the adhesion to the project for our users, especially for the CRM part which had to cover all our sales channels.”

It should also be noted that the chosen software package had to offer open APIs in order to be able to exchange with other third-party systems, as well as the possibility of exporting and importing data from desktop tools.

A first phase of deployment is planned for mid-2018, to cover the purchase, warehouse, supply and back office processes.

Saudi Arabia’s Zahid Group Reaches Key Milestone in Digital Transformation Journey with Infor Solution

New Customer Acquisition, Client Retention, and a More Effective Workforce are Among the Goals of the Long-Term Strategy.

Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that Zahid Group, a privately held organization headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has achieved a key milestone in its digital transformation strategy. After extensive planning and preparation, EJAR, a Zahid Group company, has successfully launched the first phase of Infor’s innovative M3 solution.

The management of Zahid Group created a business transformation roadmap in 2012, starting with the implementation of Infor’s M3 software to standardize key business functions across the Group’s companies in order to build a more effective workforce and deliver enhanced customer acquisition and retention. Zahid Group’s goal of achieving operational excellence aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to diversify the Kingdom’s economic interests in the private sector.

Building on the existing Infor infrastructure, Zahid Group will be rolling out more companies in the near future on the same solution, in addition to implementing additional Infor solutions to better serve its customers. The resulting internal efficiencies, improved decision-making and customer service enhancements enable Zahid Group to enhance the perception of its brand as well as after-sales service and customer care.

“In collaboration with Infor, we have simplified, standardized, and transformed our previous business practices to achieve Zahid Group’s operational excellence goals. Given the depth and breadth of Infor’s solutions, this is the ideal opportunity for us to transform the entire organization and become even more competitive through the increased visibility of critical business information, the smooth flow of data between departments, and streamlined business processes across all of our sites,” said Barig Siraj, Chief Information Officer, Zahid Tractor and Heavy Machinery.

“As we reach key milestones in our technology journey, Zahid Group is encouraging digital transformation at every level of our business because both we and our customers are seeing tangible benefits,” said Barig.

Infor’s M3 solution comprises scalable applications critical to the heavy equipment industry, including supply chain execution, warehouse mobility, sales management and financial accounting.

“Zahid Group was looking for a competitive edge in an increasingly challenging and competitive market. Not only does Infor’s M3 solution provide flexibility to manage mix-mode and complex environments, it also provides the agility and scalability needed to succeed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s dynamic private sector,” commented Tarik Taman, general manager, IMEA, Infor.

Fetim Group Rises to Market Challenges with Infor

International Construction and Home Decoration Innovator Migrates Infor M3 to the Cloud.

Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that Fetim Group, a construction and home decoration leader, has successfully completed its Infor M3 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application migration to the cloud.  In addition, Fetim will use Infor ION® to help integrate a range of third-party, best of breed applications, combining apps deployed in the cloud, Hybrid-cloud and on premise.

The home decoration market has seen radical change in the past few years.  An increase in online shopping, supplier and price transparency, combined with significant consolidation of Europe-wide retailers, has dramatically changed the role of all ‘players’ in this channel of distribution. Where DIY-retailers were once Fetim’s a significant share of its customer base, today’s market includes these same retailers, their online platforms, next to globally fast rising pure-play internet retailers. In addition, the growing trend towards Do-It-For-Me vs Do-It-Yourself shows strong growth on the professional side of the market via contractors, developers, home builders, and trades men.

“Fetim is moving its applications to the cloud to help equip us with the agility to respond to these changes,” said Frans Beerkens, Director of the Fetim Group.

Fetim also took the decision to move to the cloud version of Infor M3 following a period of international acquisitions that resulted in large fluctuations in the number of users and IT resources required. As a growing company both in manufacturing and distribution, Fetim wants to rationalize its IT investments in OpEx vs CapEx.

As an existing Infor M3 customer, Fetim has been able to influence the functionality included in newer versions of M3 and will deploy the cloud version of Infor M3, with no customizations. This will help Fetim to keep up with its fast changing market and global customer base. Integration with other applications such as a third party warehouse management system will be handled by Infor ION.

In addition, Fetim’s move to cloud will support a move from desktop to mobile infrastructure, and to better handle the growing need for data security. Fetim has chosen to outsource the management of this risk to specialists including Infor and its cloud partner, Amazon Web Services (AWS), going forward.

Rexel Puts Spark into Customer Service with Infor M3

Leading UK Electrical Distributor Invests in Infor ERP Application to Boost Customer Service and Ensure Brand Consistency.

Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that Rexel UK, a leading  distributor of electrical products and services has deployed Infor M3. Supporting a major business improvement program, the application will standardize processes across all of Rexel’s 350 sites, and provide access to in-depth information to aid customer service and deliver a consistent brand experience.

Infor M3 will help Rexel establish a robust platform which will enable change to be deployed more effectively.  As part of the ongoing business improvement program, the application will drive efficiencies, facilitate clear visibility of inventory, and allow the executive team to extend their ability to monitor and compare performance across the group.

Specifically, the application will help manage the challenges associated with a high volume distribution business, delivering a consistently high level of customer experience across the organization.

“Establishing a technology platform which allows us to deliver a consistent brand experience, is key to instilling loyalty and growing the business,” comments Frank Lauriello, CTO, Rexel.  “Upgrading from Movex to Infor M3 means that every site has access to in-depth information on inventory and costs quickly and easily, boosting visibility, supporting decision-making and optimizing customer service.”

“Having had experience of working with many large ERP systems, including SAP and Oracle, I have to say that the performance and scalability of Infor M3 is impressive.  Going forward, we are working with Infor to help us to drive innovation in both our service strategy and web proposition.  Because Infor M3 equips us with the flexibility to adapt easily to change, we’ll be leveraging this throughout the improvement program,” continued Lauriello.

“For high volume businesses, inventory and customer service really are intrinsic to business growth,” comments Phil Lewis, VP Solution Consulting, Europe, Infor. “In 2017, delivering products at the right price, accompanied by great service and a consistent brand experience irrespective of which branch you might buy from, is hugely dependent on having the right systems to provide up to date information, and delivering against demand in the most efficient way.  Infor M3 facilitates this while scaling to allow distributors to flex and grow as their strategies dictate.”

Infor Brews Better Business Processes for Fuller’s

Brewer and Estate Operator Set to Deploy Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage.

Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that Fuller, Smith and Turner P.L.C. (Fuller’s), an independent British brewer with a portfolio of almost 400 pubs, has chosen Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage as the basis of a radical business process transformation project to drive growth.

As part of a 15-year deal, Fuller’s will implement Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage alongside Infor Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Infor Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Infor Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Infor Dynamic Enterprise Performance Management (d/EPM).  The cloud applications will be deployed via Amazon Web Services (AWS) across both divisions within Fuller’s: The Fuller’s Beer Company, which brews a portfolio of premium beers, and Fuller’s Inns, which has an estate of 195 tenanted pubs and 197 managed pubs and hotels.

Following a thorough review of the market, conducted in association with consultancy Lumenia, Fuller’s established a compelling business case for a complete refresh of its system architecture, including the replacement of a legacy ERP system.  Infor was selected on the basis of its rapid deployment capabilities, stronger and more comprehensive functionality than competing solutions, and the best practice processes available “out of the box” with Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage.

The manufacturing resource planning (MRP), logistics and supply chain functionality within Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage will help to ensure improved efficiency and planning. The addition of Infor CRM will enable a consistent, single view of interactions throughout the business, improving service levels to brewery customers.

Infor EAM will be deployed as part of the facilities management of the estate, including call center operations, mobile service and plant maintenance of assets in the brewery.  Also supporting the estate business, Infor CLM will be implemented to improve the creation, negotiation, execution, and management of supplier contracts.

Infor d/EPM will be implemented across both businesses, with strong, consistent business intelligence and analytics applied to not only drive the profitability of the estate but also operations within the brewery.

“This investment in our fundamental systems will impact all parts of our business going forward and will be a step-change in our ability to quickly interrogate the underlying trends and performance,” said James Douglas, Fuller’s Finance Director. “That should enable us to improve the way we plan, act and react and will help us continue on our growth trajectory.”

“For a company such as Fuller’s, steeped in a history going back to 1845, a digital transformation project is all about ensuring not just the next year or two of success, but laying foundations that will last decades,” said Stephan Scholl, president, Infor. “The size and scope of this deal shows the level of confidence businesses now have in cloud and how it is a core part of their plans for the future. This approach is a hallmark of those companies that are not prepared to dwell on traditions, and as such, will continue to grow and dominate markets.”

About Fuller’s

Fuller, Smith and Turner P.L.C. is an independent traditional family brewer founded in 1845 and is based at the historic Griffin Brewery in Chiswick, London, where brewing has taken place continuously since 1654. The Company runs 195 Tenanted pubs and 197 Managed Pubs and Hotels, with a focus on delicious fresh, home-cooked food, outstanding cask and craft ale, great wine and exceptional service. The Company also has 665 boutique bedrooms in its Managed estate. The Fuller’s pub estate stretches from Brighton to Birmingham and from Bristol to the Greenwich Peninsula, including 175 locations within the M25. PFS was looking for a business platform that can seamlessly integrate its assortment of specialized and standalone applications and systems the company had accumulated over the years, which had become not only increasingly difficult to manage but also slow to respond, creating greater inefficiency.

“Our business is increasingly facing fierce competition; we need to enhance our technology to meet fast-changing user demands – both internally and externally – for new levels of speed, efficiency, and customer service,” said Mr. Worapars Mahattanobol, Managing Director, Preserved Food Specialty. “Having deployed Infor M3, we are convinced it is most suitable to address our business needs.”

Auricchio Invests in Infor M3 to Underpin Global Expansion

Italian Cheese Manufacturer Set to Boost Planning, Analytics and Achieve Consistency Across the Group with Infor’s Industry-Specific Platform.

Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that Italian cheese manufacturer Auricchio S.P.A. has selected Infor M3 as well as Warehouse Mobility and Infor Xi to support its global expansion strategy and standardize processes across the group.  The ERP platform is expected to support Auricchio’s requirements specific to the fresh produce industry, aid its data analytics, and boost both its planning and logistics processes for ten operational units across Italy, the US and Spain.

On the back of significant business change, including several acquisitions in recent years, the manufacturer and distributor of “Made in Italy” cheese brands selected the Infor application based on its flexibility, industry-specific food industry functionality, and ability to facilitate a new, more modern and shared management platform.  The platform’s international capability and scalability were also key factors in Auricchio’s decision, along with confidence in Infor’s partners, Cad-it and Brainware, who had already implemented Sales Analysis with Infor d/EPM.

Having also visited international Infor M3 references in their same business, the 140 year old cheese manufacturer had absolute confidence that Infor was the very best partner for this transformational project.

The application, which is anticipated to be live in January 2018 for 150 users, means that the cheese manufacturer is expected to benefit from greater coordination across departments, tighter management of the nuances of each product with regard to costs, and constraints around certification and traceability.  Enhanced information on each operation – from production, inventory, yields, weight retention and logistics handling – are also set to deliver improvements in waste reduction, enhance product rotation and boost customer service.

“We operate in a volatile market, and frequently have to adapt our strategies to meet changing market conditions,” comments Giovanni Martini, CFO and Group Controller, Auricchio Group.  “Legislative and regulatory change also impact our business operations significantly, particularly as we have so many different group companies we have to report on.  Similarly, traceability and certification constraints are crucial in the fresh food industry, therefore having a system which can help us cope with all of these complexities, via an easy to use interface, was a prerequisite.  Through adopting the Infor solution we can have a single management view of our entire operations which not only can help us to meet regulatory needs, but affords us the flexibility and agility to respond to market opportunities quickly to maximize our profitability.”

“The increasing level of complexity combined with squeezed margins and rapidly changing consumer demand in the food industry mean that one-size-fits-all systems really are a thing of the past,” comments Bruno Pagani, Sales Director, Italy, Infor.  “Successful manufacturers such as Auricchio are embracing technology which is tailored specifically to the requirements of their industry, in this case the complexities of cheese manufacturing, without sacrificing scale.  Infor’s micro-vertical strategy is designed specifically to address these types of challenges and we are delighted to be a part of Auricchio’s next growth phase.”

LTP Group Tailors the Perfect Fit for Growth with Infor

Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced Danish-owned fashion manufacturer LTP Group has selected Infor CloudSuite Fashion to be deployed throughout its production facilities in Europe and the Far East.  The suite of applications will help drive growth by delivering the benefits of standardization and enable LTP to offer increased customer value by combining the product lifecycle management (PLM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) capabilities within the suite.

LTP Group is a contract garment manufacturer for brands such as Kjus, House of Lola and Peak Performance, as well as furniture manufacture.  It has over 1,200 employees throughout seven factories, producing more than three million items a year.

Handling such high production volumes, LTP faces the challenges of continual changes to designs whilst earlier iterations of those designs are in production.  In order to accommodate this dynamic environment, LTP sought a solution that could offer full ERP and PLM integration, whilst still delivering standard processes.

Following a thorough review of the market and extensive benchmarking, Infor CloudSuite Fashion was chosen on the basis of its deep, fashion industry-specific functionality and the clear, quick link between the ERP and PLM capabilities.  Furthermore, Infor CloudSuite Fashion will also help improve lead-time and warehousing processes throughout the LTP supply chain including the handling of sub-suppliers.

LTP chose to implement via the cloud because it will enable LTP to remain focused on its core business whilst Infor assumes responsibility for the hosting, maintenance and upgrades of the technology.  Cloud deployment also offers consistency across the different geographies within the Group and a simple path for future expansion.

“In an industry as competitive and innovative as fashion, the ability to create customer value by integrating product development with the back-end processes can be a real advantage,” said Morten Ostergaard, CEO, LTP Group. “Our investment in Infor technology is first and foremost about ensuring we are positioned for growth, able to respond to customer demands more quickly and with greater agility.”

“Fashion manufacturers continue to look to technology to offer not only the cost savings of standardization, but also the innovative tools of growth,” said Andrew Dalziel, industry and solution strategy director, Infor. “The cloud underpins both of these benefits and will help deliver consistency, standardization and speed to LTP.”

Famous French Winery ‘Maisons et Domaines Henriot’ Chooses Infor M3

Family-owned group that owns famous brands of champagne, burgundy and liqueurs, needed common and centralized management tool in order to unify all entities.

Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that the Maisons et Domaines Henriot group (formerly known as ‘LA VIGIE’), which specializes in the production and distribution of fine wines: Champagne, Burgundy, Beaune, Chablis and Fleurie and liqueurs (including brands such as Champagne Henriot, Bouchard Père et Fils, William Fèvre, Château de Poncié, Lejay-Lagoute), has just chosen Infor M3 as its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.

The project, initiated at the beginning of 2015, follows the establishment of a new management team in charge of designing and deploying a wide range of devices to unite different brands, streamline processes and optimize performance around a vision, a culture and shared actions.

In charge of the project, Sandrine Lesnik, CIO of Maisons et Domaines Henriot said: “There was an immediate need to create a new single management platform to support and accompany the Group’s transformation. With different existing systems and more than 40 business applications running, we chose to focus on a standard solution that could integrate all our functions and requirements, rather than develop a specific business application brick by brick.”

After an initial benchmark, the selection project started at the end of 2015, bringing together six software vendors (including specialists). One of the prerequisites was to have a joint vendor and integrator working together to accompany the teams at all times, whilst delivering value around pre-defined features and services.

Lesnik continues: “The capability of Infor M3 to support our main business processes as standard, and the constant commitment of Infor and its partner Helant’s teams to integrate our wide field of business functionalities were the main reasons for our choice. In addition, we were enticed by M3’s beautiful graphical user interface and by the dedication shown by the teams when listening and adhering to our requirements, especially in terms of CRM and the specific concerns of managing a winery.”

The deployment of Infor M3 will take place in successive steps and is expected to go live at the beginning of 2018.

Bruno Barbe, Head of Operations at Infor partner Helant, said: “Thanks to the excellent collaboration we had with Infor, we were able to respect the deadlines set by the customer as well as our own commitments.”

Lesnik concludes: “Thanks to the new organization set up at the group management level, this project should be followed by many other initiatives. With 350 employees and a turnover of €100 million, our ambition is to undertake the necessary actions to gather all our brands around a common identity, while building the platform and the management tools that will support the transformation of the group supported by a more relevant, reactive and efficient organization.”
